The magnets are exposed and tend to oxidize. The sliding top requires 2 hands to operate it. A hinged lid would make the best sense as I have one that requires only 1 hand.
Solid little viewing box, came in a pouch that should protect from scratches
Nice solid good quality tank, my only criticism would be the lid could be made better, but this does not distract from a very nice viewing tank.

Unfortunately I’ve not been able to use/test the items yet due to mobility problems and the UK rivers and lakes are desperately short of water.

I was positively surprised about the quality.
Put a drop of oil on the magnets now and again to prevent rust.
In contrast, a larger viewing box will have a larger field of view but less portability.
