Is this a complete fishing setup?
The standard kit contains the rod handle, case, pouch, line boards, bait box, bait tray, and hook remover. Add a compatible light rig, hook and float setup, and bait before fishing.
Does it need a reel?
No. Sao Tabi is a carbon fixed-line rod. The fishing line connects at the rod tip rather than running through a reel.
Is this an emergency or survival fishing kit?
No. Sao Tabi is a practical companion for small-water exploration and travel, not survival or emergency equipment.

This kit classifies among the same tier as the keys, wallet, and phone, when checking my pockets before I go anywhere. I got this, along with some bait, and a line/hook rig for my first order from this shop to start catching tiny fish, and it's kind of turned into my favorite thing this summer.
The bait holder/hook remover has proven incredibly useful (i have to pass it around when i bring friends out fishing, it just makes everything easier) and I refill the little bait container every few days typically.

This kit is awesome! I set it up, went out and caught 11 fish the first day I used it at a local creek. I caught 2 common minnows and the rest were all green ear sunfish. I recently got my Tanago kit and I have to say as a woodworker. I love the box and the whole setup. That is what attracted me to this. I tried fishing in the lake behind my work today. I caught 5 small fish, 3 different species. I thoroughly enjoyed the kit. Everything was included to go fishing. I did buy a small fishtank to put the fish into and photograph them But everything else needed to fish came in a beautiful kit.

Love how compact this kit is. It's size is great for use by little kids or if you are traveling with space constraints. Quality of this kit is great, just add your own line sets and bait and off you go.

Man, this little kit is awesome! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the quality blew me away.
